Our Social Commitments

Haremi's mission statement puts our positive contribution to the world of education at the heart of what we do.

Our people and planet pledges encapsulate the other ways we enhance our impact on the environment and society.

In 2020, we also signed up to the SDG Publishers Compact, which aims to accelerate progress to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We'll be doing everything we can to champion the SDGs in the years ahead.

In the last year we have…

calculated our carbon footprint, set a goal of being carbon neutral by 2030, and have taken some steps to help get us there (such as setting up a car share scheme and increasing what we recycle and compost)

supported local, national and international charities, through our social and wellbeing committee, including: World Vision; St Peter’s Hospice; Cheltenham Guardians; Action for Children; Mind; and the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal

partnered with a local secondary school to provide work experience, job interview practice and careers advice for students

awarded all our partners (our permanent team members) an employee ownership bonus and an additional cost of living bonus.

We have exciting future plans to…

reduce our carbon footprint further so we can become carbon neutral by 2030 (this means more accurate auditing and long-term planning)

offer our partners paid time off to support local projects and strengthen community links (look out for photos of us wielding paintbrushes and pairs of secateurs on our social media channels soon!)

support even more charities that are close to our hearts, or connect with our company vision to enable a world of learning

reaudit our suppliers to ensure that we are working with people who share our aspirations

proactively measure and work towards more workplace diversity.
